PASCAL^® RETRAX^® GELS

Retrax® gels are thick, viscous, lubricating hemostatic gels as opposed to conventional hemostatic syrups or liquids that easily dilute and have an unpleasant taste. Retrax® Gels stay where you place them, concentrating the medicament on the wound site to quickly control bleeding and leakage.

Fast application. No need to waste time, soaking, burnishing or “infusing/rubbing” the medicament into the tissue. Simply apply any of our Retrax® Gels around the prep and pack your retraction cord. The retentive quality of the gel will hold the retraction cord in place as you pack, making your job easier.

Retrax Gels make initial cord packing easier by providing a lubricating, gliding action when packing retraction cord. The lubricating, gliding action of our Retrax® Gels allow the user to apply less force while packing retraction cord, helping to reduce the chance of tearing capillaries or damaging to the periodontal ligament. All Retrax® Gels will not run or dilute like ferric sulfate and alum syrup/liquid designed products.

Keep in mind - Studies show the lower the pH the greater the chance of tissue damage or sensitivity.

Retrax Gel AS and Retrax Gel Clear AS have a pH of 3.4.

Ferric sulfate solutions have an extremely low pH of 1.2.
